As a vegan, one question that I keep on hearing is "But where do you get your protein?" Well this question does bug but I guess sometimes instead of getting annoyed, it's better to educate people. So, not only can vegans get a great amount of protein as well as other nutrients from a well balanced diet, but the world of health and wellness is booming along with veganism. Thus bringing about an influx of vegan proteins and food supplements.
In the year and a half I have been vegan, I have tried and tested an array of vegan food supplements and proteins. Here are some of the best ones that I have found
First up, I found this delicious nutrition range from Free Soul, which comes in 3 flavours, Berry, Chocolate and Vanilla. These are specially formulated for women to work in perfect harmony to raise your fitness and energy levels and promote hormonal balance
These tablets which are included in the collection contains a mix of natural ingredients designed to assist and support female physical, psychological and hormonal health. Gluten Free, Soy Free and GMO Free, these are perfect to get that natural boost without any of the chemical nasties.
Next up is this Greens Balance powder from Arbonne. I have been struggling with my energy levels of late and have found it hard to get a full balance due to me rushing around and burning the candle at both ends (blogger life - who can relate)
This has worked perfectly to give me that extra oomph that I have been lacking. It makes it easy for me to get the full range of B vitamins and nutrients needed because I just blend it up with some juice and a banana and drink it throughout the day to keep me hydrated and energised in this crazy heatwave we've been having. I love that this company is carbon neutral and dedicated to helping those less fortunate with the Arbonne Charitable foundation promoting the development of confidence and self‑esteem in teenage girls and boys.
As a vegan, it could sometimes be a struggle to get enough iron in your diet. So to the rescue, I was sent this amazing Better You iron spray, which is a lot easier to digest than tablets.
This spray delivers 5mg of iron directly into the bloodstream bypassing the digestive system helping to boost your immune system, cognitive health and reduce tiredness and fatigue.
Lastly, I love this plant based BCAA from Vivo Life when I'm working out. It helps keep me hydrated and pushes me that little bit longer.
Electrolyte rich coconut water and pink Himalayan salt rapidly replace minerals lost through sweat and the Cordyceps Mushroom helps to maximise energy and focus. It tastes amazing too, which is always a big help
Thank you for reading and enjoy your extra energy boosts! ;)
