It's A Vegan Ting Event

It's A Vegan Ting Event

So last week I went to the It's A Vegan Ting event and it was such a cool experience. It was like a party with loads of amazing food, drink, art, clothes, accessories and cosmetics. All of my favourite things, so I was 100% in my element!

It was a relatively small venue but it was laid out perfectly with an open plan house party vibe and I spent so much time in there sampling and browsing.

When I first walked in, I was taken by this display of gorgeous handbags, toiletries, cosmetics and underwear by the lovely Katie from One Small Shop

She explained in detail about how some of these stunning pieces were made. These Reclaim handbags are made from the inner tubes of old rubber tractor and lorry tyres sourced from mechanic yards by Sophie, the owner and they feel luxuriously soft!

Also sold in One Small Shop is this underwear brand Woron. The Woron sisters Arina and Anya wanted to create a bra that you don't want to take off as soon as you get home accompanied by knickers that feel like a second skin. I had to treat myself to a set and I wish I had a few more sets as I don't want to take it off once it's on. They are made from Modal which is a beech-wood pulp fiber. It's so breathable and sumptuously soft

It comes in this cute little bag which you can use to wash it in and keep it separate from other clothes to keep it as soft as the day you bought it. I will definitely be buying more of from Woron as I truly adore the ethics and sustainability of this brand

I then had a fan girl moment when I bumped into Mr Cookdaily himself and told him how much I loved his food. I did interrupt him while he was getting his art on with his kids but he was very humble and welcoming

And I fell in love with his piece outside before went in and didn't realise he was behind it until I came out and saw his signature under it #rosegoldgoals

I also managed to spy this amazing artist painting this beauty. Love the colours and imagination put into this piece. Check my Insta stories to see her in action

Now, of course I couldn't come to a Vegan Festival and not try the food. Obviously, y'all know that's what I'm here for

Anyone who knows me knows just how much I love my food, especially my favourite, roti. So I was ecstatic to find a Renee's Kitchen who were selling some jack-fruit roti

Renee's Kitchen roti

It actually tasted better than it looks. And that's saying something. It was filled with curried jack-fruit,  plantain, mango salsa and topped with pomegranate seeds. I really could have eaten it again if it weren't for the fact that I had a portion of doughnuts waiting for me

After all of this food, I still managed to of course find space for ice-cream. Cos, I mean, there's always space for ice-cream, right?! Black Mylk made from almond and coconut milk is so deliciously creamy

Although I was now full from all of this food, I'll always eat in the future so I could not leave without getting a patty (or two) from Patty By Nature to take home to share with bae. I chose 'The Jack' filled with curried jack-fruit and an 'Island Girl' which was stuffed with jerk plantain. They were both super yum and I almost forgot that I had bought them to share...

All in all I had such a great time and this was a really good show of what the world of veganism has to offer. I'm really getting into these vegan festivals now. Can't wait for the next one

Thanks for reading and if you know of any other vegan festivals I should go to let me know in the comments. Also if you loved this post, then feel free to share
